Far Far Away (Cassette Tape Fades)
Noddy has a broken nose, courtesy of 1 of the bouncers "Desmond Brothers", delivered the night before at the Stoneleigh Club in Porthcawl, Glamorgan, Wales.
"We played a place down in South Wales last night and eh, if you can see all me black eyes and bruises... One of the Bouncers decided to use me as a punchbag. He eh, he beat the fucking shit out of me.... broke me nose and everything. But eh, the show must go on."
This came about after Noddy had told the bouncer to stop mishandling the crowd, the bouncer didn't like what Noddy said and took revenge backstage after the concert.
"Burning In The Heat Of Love" is included in the set and "Something Else" is performed with Jim's solo spot being somewhat messy. It's great to hear how it evolved before he got it in the right order as played at Reading a year later. Also on the agenda is "Dizzy Mama" as a prototype called "Pretty Mama". Dave has a go at being a guitar hero at the end of "Gudbuy T'Jane", Hmmm ?. He plays the old classic "Sleepwalking", which he used to play back in the 60's. The band also sing "Happy Birthday" to roadie, J.J. and there's also a bit of American accent too ?
Unfortunately "Far Far Away" comes to an abrupt end due to the power going off at the venue, but apart from that a good time was had by all.
Ex policeman "Desmond Brothers" was given three months in prison in July 1979.
My sound rating for this is 6/10
