Slade came on to a good reception and start in a way only Slade could do with a blistering version of
"Take Me Bak 'ome", this was their first visit to New Orleans.
It's rare to hear "Good Time Gals" played live and they played it brilliantly, Dave Hill's guitar is all present and playing good. The song finishes with the ending from "Do We Still Do It" While Dave Hill tunes his guitar, Nod goes into his irritating (but effective) feature of Slade's act in America.
.... telling the audience to enjoy themselves and make a noise, they then head straight into
"Gudbuy T'Jane", "Move Over" is played hard and fast, just like it was on their album "Slayed", Nod is in really fine voice and does a good bit of ad libing here and there, also they played
"When The Lights Are Out" which was later covered by American womens heart throbs Cheap Trick,
so I suppose Slade did influence some bands there in the end.
My sound rating for this is 7/10
