This concert was broadcasted live on BBC Radio 1 11/12/1980 and introduced by Mike Reid
Following on from their huge success at Reading a few months ago,
Slade are carrying on with their re found popularity from their fans old and new,
playing full houses around the country (which had practically disappeared up to the Reading come back)
Their set started off with the great "Weer Gona Rock Ya / Dizzy Mama" followed by a few hits like
"When I'm Dancin' I Ain't Fightn'", "Take Me Bak 'ome", "Gudbuy T'Jane".
Noddy does his normal interaction with his guests encouraging them to participate from the off.
Unfortunately the last song "Merry Xmas Everybody" was suddenly interrupted by a power cut just a few bars from the end. The power was not restored and therefore the planned
"Mama weer all crazee now" was not able to be played.
Nevertheless the crowd had not been disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed them selves
and the band had their wage until the next gig.
My sound rating for this is 8/10
